8th Annual Give Life for Christmas Blood and Toy Drive
One pint of blood can help save up to three lives. During the holiday season the blood supply at hospitals is extremely low. Year to date, BrittiCares has helped save close to 7000 lives through various annual blood drives.
This years ‘Give Life For Christmas’ blood & toy drive was Hosted by Fox 11 News Anchor Christine Devine, Co-Hosted by Rapper Lela Brown. Special guest included; Skai Jackson(Disney’s Jessie), Tyrel Williams(Nickalodeons Lab Rats), Adrienne Maloof(Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), DJ Young Slade, Rap It Up For Christmas Crew, Tylen Williams(Instant Mom) and many amazing performers.
The day was festive, fun and filled with lots of joy and entertainment, including; Santa and his helpers, Anna from movie Frozen(character dress up), a toy store, face painting, cookie and nail decorating station.
With all of the fun that took place, passionate donors were also there to help save lives. Their were over 175 blood donor attempts, and close to 140 units collected. The outcome, approximately 420 young lives will be saved from the efforts of BrittiCares supporters.
